About Queen’s MSSP ACO

What is an ACO?

Queen’s MSSP ACO is a Medicare Accountable Care Organization. Accountable Care Organizations, or ACOs, are groups that include a broad range of health care providers, employed and community doctors, hospitals and skilled nursing facilities and more who agree to work collaboratively to improve the quality of care for their patients, and the community.

About Queen’s MSSP ACO

The following resolution describes the arrangements established and passed by the Queen’s Medicare Shared Saving Program Accountable Care Organization (Queen’s MSSP ACO) Board of Directors.

The original proclamation claiming the MSSP pre-participation waiver was enacted by the Board on July 19, 2017. It included information identifying the parties to the arrangement, the date of the arrangement, and the type of item, service, good, or facility provided under the arrangement. Under the pre-participation waiver that the Queen’s MSSP ACO is using, all current QCIPN members are allowed to use services currently being developed for their Medicare fee-for-service patients.

The resolution linked here provides the updated version of that original proclamation.
